Unity Day and Marketplace
Coppin celebrates the unity of the African Americans community with a vendor’s mart and a lecture illuminating the theme for the month, “African American and Labor”. The day will begin with the pouring of libations and a drums salute. Come join us, support our vendors, and learn about some of the dynamic black leaders in the labor movement.

"Empowering Workers, Elevating Communities: Black Leadership in the Labor Movement"
Moderated by Ms. Ricarra Jones, President, Baltimore Branch NAACP
The panel aims to inspire participants to deepen their understanding of the significant history and ongoing importance of Black leadership in the labor movement, while also focusing on actionable solutions to create a more equitable future for workers. We believe your personal story and connection to the labor movement would provide invaluable insight and perspective to the conversation. As a panelist, you will have the opportunity to share your experiences, reflect on the challenges and triumphs Black workers and leaders have faced, and discuss ways to continue advancing racial and economic justice in the workplace.
